Purpose of the Event

The COVID’19 pandemic ushered in a paradigm shift in the outlook of the health care industry. It began to shift its focus to upgrade biotechnology and explore new avenues of research in indigenous medicines.

As per NITI Aayog estimates, India’s biotechnology market is expected to grow at a rate of 30% per year. The role of Indian medicine was also greatly debated. The Ministry of Ayush had highlighted the importance of traditional Indian medicines in the treatment of asymptomatic COVID cases and released guidelines for the same during the pandemic. This has caused an increase in the research on Indian medicine, in recent times. Universally there seems to an interest shown to combine old modes of medicines with new technologies for better health management and lifestyle.

This Expert Talk Series will have eminent speakers from relevant fields to train our focus to the changing scenario in adopting classical and contemporary approaches to health and society and its implications in the present times.

Objectives
  • To elaborate on the classical and contemporary approaches in medicine in the Indian Health Care System
  • To foreground the role of traditional Indian medicine during and post the COVID’19 pandemic

E-certificates will be issued for those participants who score an aggregate of minimum 50% in the daily exit tests.
