CTTE College Guides Future Financiers: Exploring Global Career Opportunities through the CMA Pathway
The PG Department of Commerce organised a Career Guidance Programme on the CMA Pathway on 6th October 2025.
The session was facilitated by Mr G. Kumar, DTM, CPA (USA), ACMA, Senior Transformation Catalyst, who provided valuable insights into the evolving global finance landscape and the importance of professional certifications in enhancing career prospects.
He emphasised that the US Certified Management Accountant (CMA), awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), USA, is one of the most sought-after international qualifications. The programme focuses on financial planning, performance management, cost control, strategic decision-making, and ethical leadership — competencies highly valued by multinational corporations.
Mr Kumar explained the two-part flexible structure of the US CMA, which allows completion within twelve months and can be pursued alongside academic studies. He noted that the certification develops analytical thinking, managerial decision-making, and global business acumen — key skills for leadership in the digital economy.
The session enabled students to understand how integrating global professional certifications with academic learning enhances employability, fosters confidence, and prepares them for leadership roles in the global business environment.
