On June 12, 2025, a group of CTTE Psychology students stepped into the gates of Aruwe Old Age Home in Ayanavaram—not just to visit, but to listen, learn, and connect.
What began as a community outreach activity quickly became something more personal. The elderly residents, full of grace and quiet strength, welcomed the students not with formality, but with stories.
Students now found themselves learning life lessons from people who had truly lived.
Each conversation was a reminder that ageing is not just about growing old—it’s about being seen, heard, and valued. The students offered their time, a few essential supplies, and a listening ear. But what they received in return—wisdom, warmth, and perspective—was far more lasting.
This wasn’t a lecture or a classroom lesson. It was a quiet call to responsibility: to respect the dignity of the elderly, to protect their rights, and to stay connected across generations.
And when the students walked back out through the gates, the world hadn’t changed—but they had.
