Economics Department

The Department of Economics started as an Allied Department in 1986. The Department aims at creating awareness of how the world functions, including industries, businesses, and governments. The department focuses on updating the students about the economy at various levels. It aims at helping students understand the nation‘s physical and human resources and their potential for economic development. It aims to impart students’ knowledge on Economics in India, International Financial Planning, The International Monetary System, and Evaluation of the implications of different exchange rate regimes for domestic macroeconomic policy. It helps the graduates to make use of economic concepts and specialized economic vocabulary in their original written and oral work. Banking, Industrial Sector, Trade, Commerce, Taxation, Finance, Insurance, and other areas require in depth knowledge of Economics.
