Clean Energy, Clean Future

As part of CTTE College’s commitment to Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Department of Chemistry proudly presents the “Clean Energy, Clean Future” campaign—an eco-conscious Student Sustainability Initiative led by our B.Sc. Chemistry students. This campaign reinforces our dedication to environmental stewardship, student participation, community engagement, and climate literacy.

Objectives

• Promote awareness of renewable energy practices
• Encourage responsible consumption and energy conservation
• Foster a culture of green thinking among youth and the larger community
• Support India’s national target of achieving Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2070

Student-Led Energy Awareness Actions

• Switch off lights & fans when not needed — reduce unnecessary electricity use
• Use LED bulbs and energy-saving appliances — adopt smart energy solutions
• Walk, cycle or use public transport — embrace low-carbon mobility
• Plant trees and maintain greenery — contribute to carbon sequestration
• Avoid plastic bags and single-use disposables — reduce ecological waste
• Spread climate awareness — engage peers, families, and schools in green practices
