CTTE College Awareness Program: Empowering Students for a Drug-Free Society

Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women (CTTE College), Perambur, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the Outreach Cell, organized a meaningful awareness event titled “போதையில்லா தமிழ்நாடு” (Drug-Free Tamil Nadu) to promote a safer and healthier society.

The initiative aimed to educate students and the local community on the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of early intervention. A key highlight of the event was the promotion of a dedicated mobile application developed by the Government of Tamil Nadu, which enables citizens to report drug-related concerns safely, securely, and anonymously.

This student-led campaign emphasized youth participation, civic responsibility, and proactive community engagement. The college encouraged widespread adoption of the app to strengthen collaborative efforts with local authorities in combating drug misuse.

CTTE College continues to empower students as responsible citizens and changemakers, working together with the community to build a drug-free and secure environment for all.
