CTTE College Women's Safety Campaign: Ethical Safety and Social Media Awareness

Women’s Safety Campaign: Empowering Digital Responsibility

As part of its ongoing commitment to institutional social responsibility and digital literacy, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women (CTTE College) has launched a proactive Women’s Safety Campaign.  This initiative aims to create greater awareness about online safety, privacy, and responsible digital behavior among students and the community.

As a key component of the campaign, B.Com. General students actively created awareness among students and members of the public through engaging activities and outreach efforts.

Through this campaign, the College reaffirms its role as an enabler of safe digital environments and a promoter of women’s empowerment through education and awareness.

Community Engagement Through Student Leadership

The Women’s Safety Campaign is driven by student participation and community outreach. It includes:

  • Awareness workshops
  • Interactive digital safety sessions
  • Campaign posters and infographics
  • Engagement with schools and local organizations
  • Collaborations with cybersecurity professionals

These efforts are designed to equip students and community members with tools to identify, prevent, and respond to online threats.

Why Digital Safety Matters

In today’s connected world, your digital footprint—the information you leave behind online—can be used to shape opinions, create opportunities, or, if misused, cause harm. This campaign highlights key concerns:

  • Privacy Risks: Personal information can be exploited for scams, identity theft, or tracking.
  • Security Threats: Irresponsible online behavior can expose users to phishing, malware, and data breaches.
  • Reputation Management: Everything shared online contributes to how one is perceived personally and professionally.
  • Career Impact: Employers and recruiters often review digital profiles. A strong digital image opens doors.
  • Professional Presence: Students, entrepreneurs, and professionals benefit from a credible and secure online identity.

Digital Safety Tips for Students and the Public

The campaign offers practical tips to strengthen cyber awareness and promote responsible internet usage:

  • Review Privacy Settings: Limit who can access your posts, photos, and personal details.
  • Regularly Audit Your Online Presence: Search your name to see what’s publicly visible.
  • Remove Unused Accounts: Reduce digital exposure by deleting outdated profiles.
  • Use Strong Passwords: Choose secure, unique passwords and update them often.
  • Stay Alert Online: Avoid clicking unknown links or downloading unverified files.

Our Goal: Safe Students, Safe Society

At CTTE College, women’s safety and digital well-being are seen as collective responsibilities. The campaign fosters a culture where students are not just beneficiaries, but active participants in building safer digital spaces—both within and beyond the campus.

“Your digital footprint is your online identity—protect it with care, confidence, and consciousness.”
