Conference on Mathematics Beyond Boundaries: From Fundamental Ideas to Modern Applications

February 16, 2027

About the Conference

Mathematics has evolved from the study of numbers, quantities, shapes and patterns into a powerful interdisciplinary discipline that influences almost every field of human knowledge. The rapid development of mathematical ideas has contributed significantly to advances in science, technology, engineering, economics, data science, artificial intelligence and numerous emerging areas. Mathematics is no longer confined to traditional academic boundaries. Contemporary mathematical research increasingly involves collaboration with computer science, statistics, artificial intelligence, data science, physics, engineering, economics, biological sciences and social sciences.

The emergence of computational mathematics, mathematical modelling, machine learning, optimisation, cryptography, network theory and data-driven mathematics demonstrates the expanding role of mathematics in addressing complex real-world problems.

The Department of Mathematics proposes to organise an Online Conference on “Mathematics beyond Boundaries: From Fundamental Ideas to Modern Applications” on 16 February 2027. The conference aims to provide an academic platform for students, faculty members and research scholars to explore the development of mathematical ideas, recent innovations, technological advancements and the growing applications of mathematics across diverse disciplines.
