Conference on Green Finance: Investment for a Sustainable Future

February 05, 2027

A Conference for Students, Researchers, Academicians and Industry Professionals

Green finance seeks to direct investment towards environmentally responsible projects and businesses that generate long-term economic, social and environmental value. The field has been shaped by several distinguished scholars and practitioners. Jeffrey Sachs has championed sustainable development and demonstrated how finance can support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Rob Bauer, Professor of Finance at Maastricht University, has pioneered research on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing and responsible asset management. Mark Carney, former Governor of the Bank of England and United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, has highlighted the financial risks posed by climate change and the need for sustainable investment. Philippe Benoit, an expert in climate finance and clean energy policy, has contributed significantly to international strategies for financing the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Conference on Green Finance and Sustainable Investment provides a platform for discussing contemporary developments in green banking, ESG investing, climate finance, renewable energy financing, sustainable business models, carbon markets and responsible investment.

The conference invites original papers from school students, undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, academicians, professionals and industry practitioners. Schools are especially encouraged to participate, as awareness of environmental responsibility, sustainable finance and ethical investment should begin at an early age. By engaging young learners alongside researchers and professionals, the conference seeks to nurture informed citizens and future leaders committed to building resilient economies and a sustainable world.
