History and Growth
Established in 1985, the Department of English has been an integral part of the institution, offering a robust curriculum that caters to diverse literary and linguistic interests. It expanded into a Postgraduate Department in 2005, and into a Research Department in 2012, further strengthening its academic offerings and providing students with opportunities for advanced study.
The department fosters a vibrant academic culture, promoting literary discussions, creative writing, and student-led initiatives.
