Dr.K.Fahamida Begum

Assistant Professor

I am Dr.Fahamida, I have 15 years of experience in teaching humanities. I’m also a supervisory research guide to M.Phil students and M.A research projects.

My research articles have been published in UGC Approved Peer Reviewed Journals. I have presented and published more than twenty research articles in several International Conferences, with some of the papers winning awards, in recognition of merit. I have also recently taken up a role as the Editorial Board Member / Reviewer in the  “International Journal for Academic Development in Social Science and Humanities”.

In addition to research & academia, I perform additional roles such as Certified TOEFL Trainer, Faculty Coordinator of College. Member of the PG Evaluation Board, University of Madras, Question paper setter and External Examiner for the UG/ PG Semester Examinations in the University of Madras and many other Aided Colleges in and around Tamil Nadu.

  • Got the Best Paper Award for presenting the research article titled, "Vikram Chandra’s Red Earth and Pouring Rain as a Historiographic Metafiction " at the 3rd International Conference on “Recent Research and Innovations in Social Science & Humanities (ICRRISH-2018)” organised by Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana State, India on 4 November 2018.
  • Got the Best Presenter Certificate for presenting a research article titled, "Temporal Distortion as a Postmodern Device in The Hours by Michael Cunningham" at the International Conference on "Emerging Trends and Themes in English Language and Literature [ICETTELL]" organised by the Southasian English Language and Literature Teachers Association [SELLTA] and Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli on 4th and 5th December 2019.
